E51AMF
2017 DXpedition to Manihiki Atoll, North Cook Islands
IOTA OC-014
The Expedition
In January-February 2017, I operated as E51AMF from Manihiki Atoll in the North Cook Islands (E5/N). This was my first major DXpedition as K7ADD, a relatively new ham at the time. The North Cooks were ranked #65 Most Wanted DXCC worldwide and #25 for Europe, making this a high-demand destination.
The expedition focused on providing contacts to European operators and those who needed E5/N as an All-Time New One (ATNO) for their DXCC standings. I also operated as E51ADD from Rarotonga (OC-013) in the South Cook Islands before and after the main expedition.
